Indie Pop Sensation Madeline Rosene Performs at the Hotel Cafe

My outfit for the show!
On a typical weekend night on Sunset Blvd there are tons of shows and performances to explore along the famous street. However, the Hotel Cafe is the perfect place to stop in if you're looking for an intimate live music experience. On Sunday night, I headed over to the small venue that's reminiscent of a speakeasy bar with it's art deco flooring and simple layout. I was headed out to see up and coming indie artist Madeline Rosene perform her latest hit "Numb" with her band.
Rosene's music is fun spunky and totally original but she is best known for her honest and quirky lyrics. The style is reminiscent of Taylor Swift's Red album but, mixed with her cool and electric indie sounds makes her music a fun and easy listen. Her songs range from topics about growing up, friendships, relationships, and the most common millennial struggle--communicating with technology. The Ohio native has really tapped into the everyday struggles of 21st century life making her music funny and relate-able for millennial fans.
Her style matches her honest and at times sarcastic music and she was sporting a stylish oversized white jacket with matching white tennis shoes for the concert. The crowd definitely enjoyed the show and laughed at the witty remarks in her songs.
Madeline is not only a musician but also loves fashion and has her own blog and Instagram platform where she shares her style inspirations. She has mastered a California cool vibe meets LA transplant on her feed and I can't wait to see what kinds of styles she will come up with at her next show! You can check out more of her music on YouTube where she even creates her own music videos. The Madeline Rosene brand is definitely one to watch because, this girl is on top of all the current trends and translates them into engaging and elegant content and music to represent millennial culture.

Celebrating Spring at The Huntington Beach Cherry Blossom Festival

On March 15 I headed over to Huntington Beach for the annual Cherry Blossom Festival to celebrate the beautiful blooms and the official arrival of Spring! The festival was filled with every variety of pink and white outfit you could think of as everyone really got into the spirit. The cherry blossom trees planted by the Tree Society of Huntington Beach were in full bloom and made for a great backdrop. The festival had music, food, and cultural activities for visitors. It is a way to celebrate the sister city to Huntington Beach, Anjo Japan, and so there was all kinds of Japanese food and music to try!
Several bands played on the stage while people enjoyed their lunch or treats on the grass. Another fun activity was the tea ceremony demonstration put on by local experts. The ceremony included tasters of traditional green tea and sweets served in authentic Japanese tea ceremonies. There was so much to learn and experience throughout the day!
Of course there were also tons of great photo ops and you can check out my outfit for the day below.

I had so much fun posing with the different creative backdrops they had set up. Plus, I got the chance to wear my new Nanette Lepore sneakers which were perfect for the event and for my cherry blossom themed outfit because they had literal pink blossoms on them. The blog name Cerisesdumatin, means “Cherries in the Morning” in French and if you know me you know I love all things cherries! So this festival combines my two favorite things, pink and cherries and I would definitely recommend checking it out next year! I was so excited to find out we had one of our own right here in SoCal because I have actually traveled to Washington DC for their cherry blossom festival and I would definitely recommend going to that one as well if you ever get the chance! These trees only bloom for a few weeks out of every year and it truly is an amazing sight to see! Plus the perfect excuse to wear an all pink outfit and show off that millennial pink style!

My Stagecoach Look Day 1

Good Morning everybody! I am so excited to be heading to the first day of Stagecoach country music festival in Indio today! They have an amazing first day lineup to kick things off including up and coming singer Lindsay Ell, country cool girl Kelsea Ballerini, crowd favorite Jake Owen, and headline band Florida Georgia Line. I cant wait to rock out to some awesome music and do all the festival things! Check out my OOTD below! It's going to be a hot one so I'm going with shorts but keeping it country with my boots. I am loving my new festival wear by Sugar T-shirts, and today I'm feeling sassy in this fun "I speak French Fries" shirt from their collection. This shirt is perfect for the festival because it is flowy yet still has a shape and keeps me cool all day. I styled it with some jewelry from my favorite new jewelry app Kollectin! I went with this Fearless necklace because that's how I'm feeling in this awesome outfit! I wore this fun gold and turquoise bangle set because the Aztec patterns are perfect for some desert vibes and the colors compliment the rest of my look! Which band are you guys most looking forward to tonight?!

My Stagecoach Style: Arrival Day

Today I am arriving in Indio California to pick up my tickets for Stagecoach country music festival. California's biggest country music event! I am so excited to be covering the event this year because something you might not know about me is I am a huge country fan! Follow along on my blog and social media for all the latest updates from the festival plus some amazing pre-parties I've been invited to! My festival looks this year are all from one of my favorite brands, Sugar tee shirts. Their looks are perfect for partying in the desert because their shirts are fitted while still being comfortable and each one has a cute saying that really shows off my personality! Today I am wearing this fun pink tank top from Sugar that says "Stay weird" paired with my favorite arrow necklace from Kollectin jewelry. I am wearing this look because I can't wait to see one of my favorite singers, Kacey Musgraves perform her hit song "Follow your arrow wherever it points" later on this weekend. I paired it with some simple jean shorts so I can easily head out to the pool as soon as I get checked in. It's going to be a hot one but that's not stopping me!
