Live the Blonde Life: My Tips for Getting the Perfect Summer Beach Hair

This summer I decided it was time for an update to my hairstyle. Summer is definitely the time for a cut if you've been thinking about it because a shorter style can do wonders for keeping you cool on those hot summer days. I know I was ready for a style that could be quickly ready to go since I have a ton of summer travel plans and need an easy low maintenance do! I went to the experts at Kasai hair salon located in Manhattan Beach for the perfect playful beachy summer cut. Read all about my experience at the salon below to see how it came out!

I headed down to Manhattan Beach and arrived at the beautiful Kasai Salon where I got the full VIP treatment.

The salon has such a relaxing atmosphere and even has ocean views from their outdoor patio. My stylist gave me a great cut with these fun bouncy layers that made my hair feel so much lighter without looking too short! You can ask for this cut at Kasai by showing this picture and they will be able to easily recreate it!

They styled my hair giving me a blowout that lasted for the rest of the day as well and kept my hair feeling full! The salon is also launching a new line of products by celebrity hairstylist and owner Kasai. I got a sneak preview of the line which is currently only available in the salon but will be launching online soon! The line includes shampoos, conditioners, and hair masks for all hair types!

After getting my cut and style I headed down to the beach to enjoy the perfect sunny day! Everything stayed in place perfectly as you can see from my pictures! I love this cut and will be wearing it all summer with my favorite hair products from Joico.

I use the Blonde Life line to wash and condition my hair and love how this line works with my new haircut! Plus it smells amazing so that's an extra bonus! Blondes really do have more fun!

Fashion Bloggers night in: Kasai Hair Salon in Manhattan Beach California

On Thursday night I headed over to the Kasai Hair Salon in Manhattan Beach California for their first Fashion blogger event. Beauty and fashion bloggers from all over LA came out to the fun event. As I walked in I was greeted at the door and asked what I would like to have done. I was offered a style consultation, blow dry, or color consultation. I opted for a style consultation as I've been playing with the idea of a new style for awhile. Kasai himself, the expert hair stylist who has worked under Frederick Fekkai in Beverly Hills (one of my all time favorite hair product brands) and styled celelbrities, came over to my chair and we talked about different style options. Kasai was able to come up with the perfect cut for me since I was interested in something low maintenance that I could style different ways. Next, I go tot speak with Amy the color consultant who gave me some fun and creative ideas for coloring my hair! Then Kasai asked me if I would like to do the cut tonight. I was not about to turn down the opportunity for a Kasai cut so I agreed. We headed over to the shampoo station and then back to my chair.

After Kasai had finshed Amy gave me a bouncy blow dry and showed me how to style my bangs different ways. I enjoyed a s'more flavored dessert in a cup while Amy finished my hair. I love my new look and can't wait to debut it at Fashion Week LA in a few weeks!

I enjoyed mingling with the other bloggers and tasted the delicious cupcakes and appetizers.

Amy handed me a goody bag on my way out and I can't wait to try out all the new fun products inside! I would definitely recommend the Kasai treadtement for anyone unsure of what style they are looking for.

Harper and Harlow in Manhattan Beach: the trendiest store in the Southbay

Manhattan Beach is one of the best places to shop boutiques, especially for one-of-a-kind merchandise. As you walk down Manhattan Beach Boulevard towards the strand, you pass by the Skechers store and the always bustling Manhattan Beach Creamery and then you will come to a little store on the left corner of the street. Harper and Harlow is located in downtown Manhattan Beach just a few steps from the pier. Shopping in this cute boutique is always fun with everyone in downtown Manhattan Beach enjoying the sun and the waves. There are many cute boutiques in Manhattan but this one is my absolute favorite. I discovered it over the summer while wandering the boulevard. It is always on trend and I love the edgy and hippy styles they have. Their graphic tee's are awesome and work great for the casual beach style. Each week a new tee with a cool saying on it is hanging in the window. The t-shirt saying this week was "save water drink champagne". The chic clothes come at a great price as well. This shop has something for everyone. I also love the cute baubles they have placed in the front of the store. I love to gift shop here as well. They always participate in the sidewalk sales and other events in downtown Manhattan Beach.
