Beauty Fans Unite! BeautyCon Los Angeles Returns After 3 Years

 This year BeautyCon LA the festival that celebrates beauty content creators and the latest trends in makeup returned with a new look after 3 years. The festival which was put on by Essence, came back with a stellar line-up of celebrity guest speakers and brands who came to show off how the beauty industry has evolved. 

While the festival was smaller than in years past, it still drew new and old fans alike who came to try out the free product giveaways and meet their favorite beauty content creators and business owners. This year the brands were more inclusive than ever featuring small female owned businesses and inclusive brands such as Good Weird that make makeup for all genders. The festival kicked off on Saturday with giveaways from Wal Mart, Palmers, As I Am, Black Radiance, and more. Female owned brand Keep it Classy nails, which was founded by Real Housewives star Moneytta Shaw-Carter made a special appearance with founder and influencer Moneytta working the booth and greeting fans. 

Other celebrity appearances throughout the weekend included Peyton List who promoted her new brand Play Cosmetics, Kelly Rowland, Tia Mowry and more. The programming featured several panels that went in depth on hot topics in the beauty industry such as finding balance in motherhood, diversity and representation in the beauty industry, turning your passions into profit, and sustainability in the beauty industry. Fans got to see their favorite creators on stage discussing the latest on everything makeup, hair, and business. 

The event also featured tons of fun photo ops where guests enjoyed creating content and grabbing pics of their best beauty looks and outfits.

Skincare is so important and using the right products can really make a difference in your beauty routine as well! A great makeup routine starts with great skin and that is why I am loving the new line of Boscia skincare products. Step 1

Step 3

Step 4

For my daytime routine I wear the Chia Seed moisturizer every morning to keep my skin hydrated and happy. I love starting the day off with moisturizer because it adds an extra glow to my complexion before applying my make up and works all day to keep my skin from drying out!

Step 5

I finish by applying the BB cream with spf 30 in the color Venice for my daily makeup. The cream rubs in to match my skintone perfectly and I absolutely LOVE that it has sunscreen included in the formula. Step 6

On days where I feel like my skin needs a little extra pampering I like to use the Mermaid Cryosea peel off mask which always leaves my skin feeling refreshed and renewed. CdM at BeautyCon: The Time Ashley Tisdale Crashed a Birthday Party!Plus Her Favorite Eye Make-Up Secrets!

The actress and now, beauty guru and founder of Illuminate by Ashley, showed up to the pink carpet of BeautyCon LA on Saturday August 12 in a stylish summer black and white look for some fun times and of course, make-up! Ashley made a special guest appearance at her Illuminate by Ashley booth on Saturday afternoon where tons of make-up fans were waiting to meet her. She gave the intimate crowd a special treat and asked the audience what kind of a make-up tutorial they wanted to see celebrity make-up artist Tonya create. After deciding Ashley told the crowd, “All right I’ll take off my eyes!”

While Tonya worked on creating the perfect winged look for Ashley, the actress told stories to the crowd and asked them about their favorite Illuminate products. She shared that she loved to get all her make-up tricks from Youtube and talked about the latest beauty trends she’s been loving, including the Sunset Eye. Tonya is another one of Ashley’s favorite people to get tips from and she recounted an adventure they’d had while hanging out on the beach one Saturday to the crowd saying, “I crash parties all the time.” According to the actress, after deciding to head down to the beach she had spotted some tents on the sand and they decided to go check them out. However, when they got there not many people were around so they stayed around for a few minutes. Soon though people started to come back to the tents and that’s when they realized that there was a birthday party going on. Ashley said that once they realized they walked into the middle of a 14 year old’s birthday party everybody laughed and kids were, “really excited.”
