Cocktails for Canines: Celebs Come Out to Raise Money for Rescue Dogs Rock NYC

On Tuesday night NYC celebs and style icons came out to raise money for Rescue Dogs Rock NYC charity that rescues abandoned dogs and provides them with housing and medical care. The charity is currently planning to open a new shelter in Long Island that will allow them to care for even more furry friends. Guests came out to support the cause and enjoyed drinks, bites, and a raffle at Versa Lounge in the garment district. Some NYC style scene regulars attended including Jean Shafiroff, Olga Ferrera, Georgina Bloomberg, Leesa Rowland and more.

 Everyone stepped out in their best looks to support the cause. Local businesses also donated prizes to the raffle and donated proceeds from their sales to Rescue Dogs Rock. Brooklyn based LolaHemp founded by Joey DiFrancesco was giving out free samples to guests who had pets at home and donated proceeds the the charity. 

The event brough together style and dog lovers for a night of fun and raised awareness for a great cause. The charities co-founders Jackie O'Sullivan and Stacy Silverstein spoke to the audience about their journey founding the charity and the idea for the rescue center. Their inspiring speech was full of anecdotes about the adopted dogs they have been able to rescue. 

They thanked the audience for their support before introducing the youth co chair Marin Gellar was also honored and gave a speech to talk about volunteering and the importance of involving youth in community initiatives.

I paired this blue and white striped jacket with these bright red shorts and my favorite festive Kate Spade star print purse for an amazing patriotic and fierce outfit. The oversized jacket paired with shorts is one of my favorite street style trends of the summer. For my makeup look I started with the Shiseido WASO skincare line to make sure my skin was plump and moisturized before applying make up. Then I started with my favorite Becca backlight primer which is my favorite product for prepping my skin because it really brings out the shine when I apply the rest of my products! I use Fenty matte foundation and this Shiseido blush that has a little sparkle in it. Then I add in my highlighter using my NYX contouring pallette. I blend together the gold and champagne colors for a nice natural summer glow.
For my eyes, I started out with my Tarte mascara and used my Desert Oasis Pallette from BH cosmetics. My favorite shade in this pallette is called quartz which I applied in the corner of my eyes, then I used the gold sparkly sands on my lids and the beautiful dark turquoise blue color in the corners. I used my Dior brow pencil in Strawberry blonde to highlight my brows.
For my lips I used the brand new Charlotte Tilbury hotlips 2 lipstick in Patsy Red. Then I added my Lip Bar rose gold lipstick on top for a golden shimmer.

Spanish Style in Valencia: Romeo and Juliet Couture Presents a Special Summer Runway Show

If you are looking for some international summer style inspo check out these runway pics! On July 22, NYC based fashion brand Romeo and Juliet Couture presented a summer fashion show in Valencia Spain on board a riverboat crusie ship. The show features several up and coming models and of course some amazing designs from RJC. Guests enjoyed a night on the water while getting to see the latest styles from New York. The collection featured both evening wear and causal summer looks in bright colors such as turquoise and fun floral patterns. The clothes included girl details such as ruffles and lace as well. The whole night definitely makes me want to take a trip to Spain this summer how about you?

Summer Concert Style: Lady Antebellum at the Hollywood Bowl

Last night I attended the Lady Antebellum You Look Good concert at the Hollywood Bowl and besides listening to some great music I also got the chance to see some cute concert outfits! This was the band's first performance at the Hollywood Bowl which they described as a "Bucket List moment" and the ampitheater was packed with fans on the perfect California evening. Opening act Kelsea Ballerini warmed up the crowd with some brand new songs including her new single "I hate Love Songs". Lead Singer for Lady A, Hillary Scott, also showed off her LaBellum collection and said she hoped the "boho chic" clothes would work for day to night looks for her fans.

Summer is Officially Here and it Looks A Lot Like Baywatch: Exclusive Collection Launch at Ron Robinson in Santa Monica

Today Baywatch, the summer's hottest beach movie, hits theaters and the remake of the 90s phenomenon will have fans dreaming of beautiful California beach days with hot lifeguards Zach Efron and Dwayne the rock Johnson in sexy muscle tees and stylish throwback looks. I got the ultimate taste of Baywatch fashion on Thursday when I attended the exclusive launch the official Baywatch collection at Ron Robinson in Santa Monica.

The collection was created in partnership with Paramount Pictures under a licensing deal for the Baywatch movie and at the same time that we were celebrating the US launch, stars from the film including Efron and The Rock were in Australia promoting the movie overseas. "We are thrilled to have this great design collaboration celebrating the Baywatch movie release,” said LeeAnne Stables, President, Worldwide Marketing Partnerships & Licensing at Paramount Pictures. “The film spotlights the spirit of the beach lifestyle in a fresh and contemporary way – perfectly captured by Ron Robinson and Sugar.” The partnership between Sugar and Paramount resulted in a great personalized collection for fans with many options for customers to pick styles they liked and items that they could enjoy all summer long. 

At the event I spoke with reps from Sugar t-shirts the brand behind the fun retro collection as well as a representative from Paramount Pictures Australia who told me that the swimsuit styles in the fun retro collection were inspired by the costumes in the movie. As I wandered around the store checking out all the fun photo ops with the Baywatch decorations I could definitely see the resemblance.

This collection was the first to include menswear for Sugar tees and they did a great job translating their signature sassy style into the menswear collection with funny sayings and graphic designs that will no doubt start a trend for the summer.

My personal favorite of the womenswear looks was this cute bodysuit inspired by the signature red Baywatch swimsuit which became an icon of SoCal beach styles in the 90s.

Guests had a great time in the store checking out all the beach themed products to go with the collection and summer vibes were everywhere as many showed up wearing pieces from the collection.
