I got an exclusive interview with actor, producer, and speaker, Colin Egglesfield while covering the Top Talent Hollywood Conference this week. Check out ur interview below to hear his tips on how he uses acting, and speaking skills from Hollywood in everyday life and to help his clients. Colin described how leaning into a challenge, dealing with rejection, and projecting confidence in any situation are all skills he gained on set, while also talking about how they can apply in real life situations. Plus, he revealed his dream collaboration and which actors he would love to work with now, and we even talked about the Devil Wears Prada, one of my favorite movies!
I also covered the red carpet at the Top Talent Hollywood event, and spoke to amazing guests who took the stage throughout the weekend including AC Caswell former NFL Star and fellow fashion lover, Amor Delus CEO of the Monique Wooley Foundation, and more! Check out my coverage below to see highlights from the Dolphin Tank competition, Speaker competition, and watch experts share their story on stage!
I attended the blue carpet premier of the new comedy film "Reunion" at Madame Tussaud's Hollywood where I interviewed the cast and crew, celebrated the release of the movie and a special birthday, and then watched the film! I am bringing you exclusive footage from the event, where I spoke to the writer behind the story, John W. Kim, who revealed what he hopes the audience will get out of the film and even his next big idea! Don;t miss the exclusive red carpet footage where cast members revealed what they related to most about their characters and previewed some of the drama from the film! Watch below!
My Review
After watching the movie for the first time at the Beverly Hills film festival, I would highly recommend this movie for anybody looking for an independent take on classic Rom Com style movies from the early 2000's. This film reminds me of Romy and Michele's High School Reunion because it is filled with heart and spirit and a dose of adolescent optimism that we all need but with an updated twist that reflects the reality many young people are facing in America today. The film doesn't shy away from the economic and structural challenges that are crushing young adult dreams, even for the successful and middle class characters in the film. It also weaves hilarious moments, crazy personalities, and pop culture into the ensemble cast so that everyone watching can find a character they identify with.
On Sunday night Stormrider: Legend of Hammerhead premiered in Beverly Hills with a star studded crowd in attendance. I covered the red carpet and watched the film. After having the chance to speak with producers and actors in the film, I got to sit down and watch it on the big screen in the ornate Saban theater. The Sci-Fi film, featuring a dystopian world where people were forced to seek refuge on an archipelago of islands brought a fresh take to the post-apocalyptic genre with water scenes, underwater special effects, and more departing from the traditional desert or cityscape settings of the genre. The film also featured a captivating plot, with many twists and turns to keep the audience guessing until the very end. I definitely recommend this film to any Sci-Fi fans who are looking for something different. Check out my red carpet coverage below to hear form the cast and crew, and see the celeb style from this glamorous event.
This weekend I attended the Culture in Motion roadshow kickoff in Los Angeles! Check out my Youtube video below for all the red carpet fashion and celebrity interviews! Read more about the event below.
LOS ANGELES, CA – For nearly a century, The Apollo has stood as a sacred cultural landmark in Harlem, New York – a legendary stage where icons were discovered, movements were born, and Black culture was amplified for the world. On Saturday, January 31, 2026, history turned a new page as The Apollo stepped beyond its storied walls and, for the first time, took its legacy directly to the people through The Apollo x Kwanza Jones Presents: Culture In Motion™, a national roadshow conceived and presented in partnership with visionary artist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Kwanza Jones.
Launching in Los Angeles during Grammy Week, the Culture In Motion Roadshow transformed The Beehive into a vibrant epicenter of creativity, community, and celebration. The event marked a defining evolution of The Apollo’s mission, expanding its nearly 100-year cultural legacy from a singular venue into a living, traveling movement designed to meet communities where they are.
A centerpiece moment of the launch was the official unveiling of the SUPERCHARGED® Boost Bus™, a striking, custom-designed mobile platform that brings the spirit, energy, and cultural impact of The Apollo x Kwanza Jones directly into neighborhoods across the country. More than a vehicle, the Roadshow Bus serves as a rolling cultural hub, activating space for artistic expression, storytelling, discovery, and community connection. Designed under SUPERCHARGED® by Kwanza Jones’ creative vision, the bus embodies movement, momentum, and access - signaling a powerful new era where culture is not confined to a single stage, but aliveand in motion.
Rooted in Kwanza Jones’ future-forward SUPERCHARGED vision, Culture In Motion reimagines what cultural access looks like in the modern era. Through immersive programming, live performances, storytelling, art, and dynamic mobile activations inside the Boost Bus, the Roadshow delivered inspiration, creative empowerment, and intergenerational connection directly into the heart of Los Angeles.
Celebrity guests including Algee Smith, Jaime Jones of the Grammy Award Winning Music Group All-4-One, Jon B, George Daniels, Ron Stewart (Senior Vice President of Warner Records), Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones Jr, Yung Muusik, DJ Rogers Jr., Chef Sean, Rugrat and many more joined artists, community leaders, and creatives in celebrating culture as a force for connection and progress.
“Culture in Motion is a living expression of art, empowerment, and community. Launching in Los Angeles during Grammy week extends the spirit of The Apollo beyond its walls and into the streets where creators and communities move culture forward together. It sets the tone for a Roadshow that invites people to show up, participate, and see themselves reflected in what’s possible,” said Kwanza Jones.
The Los Angeles stop set the tone for the National Roadshow’s journey, reinforcing The Apollo’s enduring role as a catalyst for cultural expression and civic impact, now amplified through movement, mobility, and modern storytelling.
I spoke to the cast members, stars from the Bay who came to support the film, and LA creatives from all industries including fashion, film, directing, and more! But the one thing that brought everyone together for this red carpet event was finding inspiration in Edgar Allen Poe and his famous classic poem "The Raven". From feathered dresses to dramatic trains, red carpet stars showed up in style while paying homage to the drama and flair of Poe's famous work.
Check out my Youtube video red carpet coverage where I got to speak with reality stars representing fashions from the 2000s to now.

This season LAFW returned for the second time under new ownership by N4XT with a standout lineup of designers and additional programming as well as experiences open to the public. The fashion week incorporated similar elements from New York fashion week such as the designer discovery shopping area open to the public while adding programming that was specific to LA such as a film screening and panels highlighting LA talent and sustainability. For NYFW veterans the event felt familiar while also adding a signature LA vibe to the week with a more relaxed and open vibe for networking and mingling. According to designer Maxwell Osborne of An Only Child, LA brought a unique perspective to the fashion week experience. He said, "I think LAFW is different from New York or Paris or London because it's its own thing and its people based and less editorial based. It's a community and a vibe and its a great place to hang out and that's why its great to di it here berceuse its an all day thing with panels and shows and everything's is very intimate and intertwined and it has a space in entertainment and it feels like it should be entertaining. Like they are doing movie screenings panel talks, shows, and presentations so that's what I think LAFW brings to it that's different."
Designer Sergio Hudson echoed this sentiment backstage at his show later in the evening telling me, "It's relaxing very much more relaxing than New York I mean but that's LA it's relaxed you don't really have to have all the extra I really love the feeling of it and I had a great time."
The week kicked off with the IMITATION OF CHRIST show which brought out fashion lovers form all over as well as influencers and celebs based in LA. The iconic brand showed their collection against the backdrop of the Hole Gallery on La Brea in West Hollywood. The crowd dressed accordingly with denim, rhinestones, and vintage LA inspired looks taking center stage amongst the street style. One of my favorite looks was this vintage DIORANGELES jacket worn by one of the guests.
Even the art was on the theme of LAFW with the gallery featuring California inspired pieces such as a photograph of JUICY sweatpants set against a vibrant sunset.
The show featured live musical performances as well as dancing from the models and at the end the audience was encouraged to join in and everyone got a chance to participate in the show. The show featured rituals from religions around the world and according to the designer behind the brand Tara Subkoff the collection was meant to represent the need for community and connection in today's digital world. The collection started off with dark colors using veils of tulle and draped fabrics to represent how we can be pulled into darker thoughts while alone with too much media, and then slowly morphed into lighter tones featuring bright floral prints, light pinks, and delicate ruffles as well as long silk maxi dresses in neutral tones. The evolution represented how being out in the world and part of a community can brighten our thoughts and feelings according to the designer. The poignant theme of the collection resonated with the audience especially during a time saturated with bad news and tensions in the media that we get delivered directly to our phones and personal devices all day long.
After the show fashion's in crowd gathered for a cocktail hour to officially open the LAFW campus in Hollywood. On Thursday the first official day of the campus, guests could experience the Lancome Beauty Days and the SAP shopping experiences that were open to the public starting at noon. In addition to the brand moments there were also tons of photo ops and free coffee sponsored by Arabica coffee where attendees could relax in between events. The Lancome beaty days experience offered a futuristic photo shoot as well as a complimentary skin test. There was also a nail bar sponsored by dazzledry nails and giveaways from Khalifa Kush.
Thursday's opening events included several panels as well as a film screening. The Ice Cold: A History of Jewelry in Hip Hop panel was especially popular as it brought together music and fashion lovers to hear from the hottest trendsetters in the jewelery industry as well as music journalist and hip hop historian Vikki Tobak. The panel featured Maxwell Osborne who also spoke on an earlier panel in the day about design, jewelry designers David Tamargo of Alligator Jesus, Lillian Shalom jewelry designer to the stars, and Essence Ventures stylist Corey Stokes.
The panelists spoke about the evolution of hip hop jewelry as well as the personal meaning and identity aspects that artists represent using jewelry choices. Afterwards there was also a cocktail hour for mingling where guests could buy the newly released book directly.
Shortly following the panel was the film screening of fashion film "Fashion Reimagined" presented by Otis College of Art and Deisgn. The film's creator Becky as well as the star of the film Amy welcomed the audience and introduced the sustainability focused film which featured the British brand Mother of Pearl. Sustainability is still a thorny topic for the fashion industry and this film aptly described the production chain issues that brands face when trying to implement sustainability initiatives. LA has always been a hub for sustainably minded designers but in recent years Otis and other fashion colleges have been working diligently to make sustainable design a core part of the design curriculum.
Finally, it was time for the highlight of the evening with the Sergio Hudson presentation that drew the biggest crowd of the day. The designer who regularly shows at NYFW created a special presentation experience showcasing his Spring/Summer 2024 collection in an ethereal candlelit backdrop featuring signature Sergio Hudson cocktails as well as upbeat jazz music and decadent floral centerpieces. The presentation had an intimate feel to it that was distinct from the NYFW shows. After the show, I spoke to the designer about the all white and neutral colored spring collection. He told me, "The inkwell black society wealthy black people that was my first point of inspiration and then it was my client and my customer what would they need in the summertime what would they need when it's really hot and you know they still wanna wear their suits but they can't wear heavy suits." He also told me about his process for creating the collection saying, "The simplicity of it and the smallness of it, it was very concise and very short and very enjoyable. I think the lightness of it and the airiness of it is where I am going next."
And that's a wrap for Day 1 of LAFW! Check out my recap video on Instagram or visit the LAFW to find out more about the rest of the programming!
On Tuesday night NYC celebs and style icons came out to raise money for Rescue Dogs Rock NYC charity that rescues abandoned dogs and provides them with housing and medical care. The charity is currently planning to open a new shelter in Long Island that will allow them to care for even more furry friends. Guests came out to support the cause and enjoyed drinks, bites, and a raffle at Versa Lounge in the garment district. Some NYC style scene regulars attended including Jean Shafiroff, Olga Ferrera, Georgina Bloomberg, Leesa Rowland and more.
Everyone stepped out in their best looks to support the cause. Local businesses also donated prizes to the raffle and donated proceeds from their sales to Rescue Dogs Rock. Brooklyn based LolaHemp founded by Joey DiFrancesco was giving out free samples to guests who had pets at home and donated proceeds the the charity.
The event brough together style and dog lovers for a night of fun and raised awareness for a great cause. The charities co-founders Jackie O'Sullivan and Stacy Silverstein spoke to the audience about their journey founding the charity and the idea for the rescue center. Their inspiring speech was full of anecdotes about the adopted dogs they have been able to rescue.
They thanked the audience for their support before introducing the youth co chair Marin Gellar was also honored and gave a speech to talk about volunteering and the importance of involving youth in community initiatives.
The night was definitely a success and raised over $150,000 to open their new center. Check out my reel to see all the best styles of the night on Instagram here!
This weekend the Grammy's red carpet shined in Los Angeles while major stars like Beyonce and Taylor Swift came out to show off their latest looks at the music awards. There were several trends from the red carpet but my favorite was the two piece sets I saw celebs sporting for the big night. The trend is youthful and can be adapted for different body types and occasions. It has definitely made a come back for this season.
Taylor Swift wore a midnight blue two piece set by Roberto Cavalli which looked stunning. The long sleeve top and fitted skirt lengthened the silhouette and the sparkly material added a touch of glamour for the red carpet.
Camila Cabello also sported the trend in this black and white number by Pat BO called the hand beaded rosette gown. The embroidered bodice was a statement piece that was hand made with over 40 hours of work. The designers constructed it like a piece of jewelry and was crafted by Brazilian artisans who learned their art at Patricia Bonaldi's tuition free sewing school for women's empowerment. The high slit added drama to the look and it was the perfect outfit for Cabello.
The night was definitely a success and there was so much great style inspo from the red carpet.
The 7th annual blue jacket fashion show for prostate cancer awareness returned to NYC in Moonlight studios on Wednesday. Male celebs including Mario Cantone, Andy Karl, Alex Lundqvist, Bill Nye, Carlos Greer, Clinton Lord, Dominic Fumusa, Don Lemon, Don Hood, Dr. Bradley Schaeffer, Dr. Evan Goldfischer, Dr. Ash Tewari, Eric West, Frank DiLella, James Aguiar, James Andrew, Kris Bennett, Les Trent, London Brown, Louis Finley, Marcus Samuelsson, Mike Woods, Musa Jackson, Nigel Barker, Omar Hernandez, Richard Thomas, Souleymane Sy Savane, Ty-Ron Mayes, Tyrone Brewer and Young Paris modeled the reimagined traditional “blue jacket” down the runway by designers including Arjona Collection, Ben Sherman, Bruno Magli Collezione, Cad & The Dandy, Gustavo Moscoso, Levi’s, Maxjenny, Men’s Wearhouse, Michael Kors, Nicholas Graham, Son Jung Wan, Stephen F, Thom Browne, and Tommy Hilfiger. The event was held in partnership with Janssen pharmaceuticals and Zero: The End of Prostate Cancer. Fashion Group International also partnered up with their rising star designer Frederick Anderson in support of the event.
The night kicked off with a blue carpet full of creative takes on the dress code of blue jackets. Celebs came out to support the cause and raise awareness and the theme of the night was that helping even one person made the event worth it. This year, for the first time as part of this event, community members, event participants, and guests were able to be screened for prostate cancer with a quick and easy prostate-specific antigen test sponsored by Carver Federal Savings Bank and provided by Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Morning screenings were held outside of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture and then again at Moonlight Studios ahead of the show.
The participants really made the runway their own wearing outfits that showed their personality and walking to a song of their choice that definitelyreflected everyone's personal style. From party rock anthem to throwback swing and jazz hits everybody rocked the runway in their own way. Crowd favorite Bill Nye returned wearing a custom made jacket and periodic table bowtie. Mario Cantone of Sex and the City wore a jacket with his name embroidered inside. No detail was left out of these stylish looks.
After the show guests enjoyed a blue themed drink at the afterparty in honor of raising awareness for prostate cancer which is very common but treatable if caught early. All in all the night was a success.
This coming Wednesday designer Frederick Anderson will be hosting the Blue Jacket Fashion Show with Janssen Oncology & Benefitting Zero – The End of Prostate Cancer. The designer gave me an exclusive preview for the evening and you can find my red carpet coverage of the event here on Wednesday evening to see it all happen!
Anderson founded the event with Laura Miller and together they have grown the event to a successful staple on the New York City social calendar that raises awareness for Prostate cancer and screening.
Frederick shared his excitement for the event as well as the inspiring story of how he came up with the idea in an exclusive interview with me before the big day. He also gave me a sneak peak at what he will be wearing and his plans for the upcoming NYFW! He is celebrating his 5th year with his namesake collection and will be showing his Renaissance collection on February 15th.
What inspired you to found this In my forties and getting the speech from my doctor about prostate and colon cancer and getting my first colonoscopy and PSA. I had no idea. I had never had a conversation about any of it. Frightening and concerning… as I am part of the fashion industry and we promote the fashion fights breast cancer I wondered “what about the men”? Well I took it upon myself to start the conversation and based on the reaction its a conversation that was needed.
Do you know what you'll be wearing to the big night?
I'll be wearing a couture velvet suit by Sartoria Studio which is opening in NYC on Feb 6th with a Blue jacket fundraiser.
How do you think fashion and designers can have an impact on important causes?
We have a platform and are respected. I think its my responsibility to use that power for change and awareness.
How has being one of FGI's rising stars affected you?
Its really amazing to be honored by your peers. The boost is amazing.
Any plans for Fashion week in February you can share? The collection is called renaissance. I feel is fitting for my life and where I am at 5years of my own signature collection.
The 2023 Critics Choice Awards were held in Los Angeles on Sunday January 15th. As awards season gets underway in 2023 red carpet style is where celebs show off the latest trends. The Critics Choice Awards was no exception with a stunning lineup of looks from Viola Davis sequin Valentino dress to Amanda Seyfried's gold metallic Dior gown. It's no secret that sparkle is going to be a big trend in 2023 especially during awards season. However there is another trend I'm watching this year as well which is sustainable fashion. Sustainability will take center stage for the fashion world in 2023 as designers and consumers adapt to more eco-conscious clothing in big ways.
Markarian, a New York City based brand founded by designer Alexandra O'Neill in 2017 is working to create conscious clothing in a fashionable way. The brand is founded on a timeless and romantic design aesthetic and produces made to order garments in an effort to reduce waste. The floral gown worn by Melanie Zanetti this weekend was designed by O'Neill as part of the Autumn/Winter 2022 collection. The ruffle bodice added a feminine touch to the ivory and blue gown that popped on the red carpet. Other sustainable brands represented on the carpet included the Stella McCartney cutout dress worn by Sarah Hyland.
Next up for awards season red carpet style is the Grammys on February 5th. Stay tuned for more style coverage!
The MTV Movie and TV Awards made a splash this weekend with celebs like Vanessa Hudgens, JLo, Sydney Sweeny and more stepping out on the red carpet. The "biggest night to be a fan" has been a pop culture staple but recently MTV added the Unscripted Awards event. Airing right after the Movie and TV awards the 2nd annual Unscripted show celebrated the biggest names in reality TV. I spoke to the stars on the red carpet about the trends they will be wearing this summer and more!
The Movie and TV Awards brought some major celebrities to Barker Hanger in Santa Monica for the event including Glen Powell and Jay Ellis from Top Gun Maverick, Sydney Sweeney of Euphoria, Vanessa Hudgens who hosted the show, Swae Lee who gave a special performance during the awards, Awkwafina, Jack Black, Jenna Ortega, Lana Condor, Taylor John Smith, Olivia Rodrigo and of course Jennifer Lopez.
One of the major trends from the red carpet was color. Lana Condor showed up in this all pink suit looking on point. Vanessa Hudgens wore a royal blue dress, Sophia Di Martino wore an all red bedazzled suit, Awkwafina showed up in neon yellow, Taylor John Smith wore his favorite color light blue, Cazzie David wore neon green. I spoke to Taylor John Smith about his look as well as his new movie "Where the Crawdads Sing" which is set to come out in July. Check out my interview with him in the video below!
Another trend from this red carpet was cutouts. JLo, Chrisnell Stausse, Teresa Giudice, Sher Saurez Tefi Pessoa and more all showed off a little skin for summer in cutout looks. Check out my interview with Sher Suarez below as she describes her Bronx and Banco red carpet look.
One of my favorite trends from this event was definitely the sparkles. Paris Hilton, Kathy Hilton, Kim Lee, Sydney Sweeney, Sophia Di Martino, Heather and Tarek El Moussa, and Chanel West Coast all opted for bedazzles looks on the red carpet. Check out my interview with Kim Lee of Bling Empire below for details on her sparkly look.
As for what trends celebs are going to be sporting this summer, it's all about color and comfort. I spoke to Symone, the star of RuPaul's drag race who said, "I used to stay away from pink because I was like ooh that'ss not me. But it makes me feel so bubbly inside it just stirs up some things I don't know."
I also spoke to Mandii B. podcast host extraordinaire who told me, "I love that crochet is coming back. So I like the crochet tops, shorts and skorts are back."
Tayshia Adams who hosted the Unscripted awards shared her top picks saying, "I recently bought my first pair of oversized jeans and now I can’t stop wearing them I’ve never worn those before. Also black slides. I never used to be a fan I’m a heels girl."
Check out my full interview with the Bachelor Nation star here.
And Tefi Possoa, Tik Tok celeb and InStyle correspondent gave an extra credit answer telling us what trend we need to throw out of our closets this summer. She said, " I feel like I'm sick of you making me buy cargo pans. I'm buying them because I'm a trendy little girl but I don't wanna do it anymore. Anything that I have to go into Old Navy for I don't want it. If I see another double polo I'm lighting everything on fire like in waiting to exhale when she throws the match I'm gonna do that to every double polo in the world."
Heather El Moussa said she was all about pops of color this summer, "I love color. Lime green pops of color I mean my whole new wardrobe is pops of color."
Cheyenne Valentino star of the new Drag competition show Queen of the Universe said, "I am really getting into the big tulle skirts now I love them. I used to think people were crazy walking around in with all the tulle skirts. So I got me a few tulles made."
What was your favorite look of the night? Let me know in the comments below!
Los Angeles basedsinger and television personality Chanel
West Coast announced some big news on the red carpet at the MTV Unscripted
Awards which aired Sunday night on MTV. The singer spoke about this exciting
time for her family. The “Ridiculousness” Co-host shared her excitement as well
as her nerves for the upcoming changes her first baby will bring saying it was
definitely “scary” but overall happy news. She appeared with her boyfriend Dom
Fenison on the red carpet and the couple looked cuter than ever as they talked
about their plans for the baby.
The musician mentioned her struggles with morning sickness
in the first trimester and how it had made keeping the news under wraps
difficult. But now she is ready to take things public and is hoping for a smooth
summer while she prepares to welcome her child into the world. The singer is
well known for her bold sense of style and she continued the tradition with her
red carpet look for the event. She described her outfit saying, “Pink is more
my vibe, I’m wearing a pink and green Dolce and Gabbana dress, Louboutin shoes,
and a Louboutin clutch.” One of the most immediate changes the baby will bring
is to her wardrobe. We asked the star what her maternity style will be and she
excitedly shared her plans saying, “I’m gonna be very Rihanna vibes as soon as
the belly is popping a little more I’m gonna show it off more because right now
it’s still in that stage where it’s like people might think I’m a little
overweight at the moment. But as soon as it’s popping out more I’m just gonna
start showing it off more.” She added, “I’m just looking for whatever I can
wear right now. I haven’t been paying as much attention to the trends as usual
as I’ve been trying to pay attention to what actually is going to fit me and
still be cute.”
The artist is looking forward to being a mom and is already
feeling inspired by her child. She released a brand new music video on June 2nd
and already has additional projects in the works. Fans are looking forward to
hearing her new songs and the singer has hinted that there may be some
surprises in her music style as well. It will be a transformative summer for
the artist and a joyous time for her growing family.
Before heading inside the MTV star shared what she was most
looking forward to about the awards show saying, “Tonight I’m just looking
forward to seeing what crazy thing happens like the MTV awards is known for
something crazy happening and I think that we don’t ever know what’s gonna
happen so I can’t wait to see what crazy shenanigans happen.” The 2nd
annual MTV Unscripted Awards aired on Sunday June 5th with special
guests Paris Hilton and Bethany Frenkel in addition to cast members from some
of the biggest shows in Reality TV this year.
Tayshia Adams has had a whirlwind past few years going from
a graduate of Concordia University in Irvine to fan-favorite contestant on the
Bachelor and now to major media personality and host for the 2nd
annual MTV Unscripted Awards. The fashion icon and social media star has built
a name for herself by breaking barriers in the reality TV genre as the first
bi-racial host of the Bachelorette. But as a young girl growing up in Newport
Beach she never dreamed her career would take her all the way to Hollywood.
When we spoke to Adams on the red carpet before her big night she said, “I would’ve
probably never predicted it but at the same time I feel like this is exactly
where I need to be.”
As for what’s next Adams is enjoying her new home in New
York City for now and plans to run the NYC marathon again after successfully
completing the 2021 race while raising money for the World Vision charity last
November. Despite being hospitalized for a kidney infection after last year’s
event she is not giving up and planning to compete again in 2022. She said, “I
did run my first marathon last year and I’m definitely planning on running the
New York marathon this year.”
Adams told us about her new home in NYC and how she has
evolved since leaving her home in sunny Southern California. She said, “First
of all now that I live in New York my fashion sense has completely changed
first of all I’m wearing mostly black if that doesn’t tell you that I’m a New
York girl I don’t know what would. It’s really brought out my edge. I feel like
orange county is way more chill and laid back and like colorful.”
For Adams, being a host isn’t just about the fun and
excitement. She takes the role very seriously and worked to mentor Bachelorette
Katie while co-hosting season 17 last year. As the first bi-racial Bachelorette
host she also works to be a role model for women like herself.
She shared how she incorporates both of her cultures into
her style saying, “I feel like I wear what represents me and I’ll try anything.
I love color and with that Mexican culture has a lot of vibrance and that’s
always fun to bring into the mix.”
While this was only the second year for the Unscripted
Awards, there was still plenty of drama and excitement for fans and Adams had
her work cut out for her. The Bachelor Nation sensation is enjoying her new
home in NYC but was still happy to be back in her home state for the big night.
When it comes to the future there is no doubt her busy career will bring her
back to California but for now, she is looking forward to enjoying the summer
season. She shared what she’s most looking forward to wearing in the warm
weather saying, “I recently bought my first pair of oversized jeans and now I
can’t stop wearing them I’ve never worn those before. Also black slides. I
never used to be a fan I’m a heels girl.”
Festival fashion is back and this year at Stagecoach artists came out rocking their best country style. Check out the video below to see all the fits from the weekend party in the desert!
The Colin Locascio presentation on the final day of NYFW may have been a quiet event compared to some of the more well known shows of the season but it was not one to miss! I am labeling this designer as one to watch as the style and skill in this breakout collection definitely stood out.
Colin Locascio who is a new designer on the scene made his NYFW debut with a brightly colored Autumn Winter collection full of whimsical designs and surprising details. The designer may be new to having his own label but he has spent several years in the industry working for some of the top brands such as Marc Jacobs and designing custom pieces for celebrities including Kendall and Kylie, Bella Hadid, and more. His design background and experience showed through in this season's collection which had notes of Marc Jacobs artistic refinement mixed with loud celebrity style. The collection was described as designed for the outer-borough girls and pays homage to the designer's roots in Queens.
The collection notes stated, "For AW22, we looked to our favorite Bridge and Tunnel gals from TV -- Adriana from the Sopranos, Betty Suarez from Ugly Betty, and of course Fran from the Nanny to name a few. Each character has her own defined style, and we were interested in mixing the sexy, the quirky, and the absurd. For AW22, we also leaned into a grittier approach to our RTW, referencing the bridge and tunnel teens in the South London Club Scene in the late 80’s early 90's. Key items are our patch worked vegan leather trench and bustier dress, our 3-D crushed velvet floral puffer and micro mini set, our tinsel eyelash knitwear, and our brand signature printed mesh with 3 original prints this season."
My favorite piece was the 3-d crushed velvet floral puffer and micro mini skirt set.
This piece incorporated so many trends for the Fall season including bright and unexpected colors, and the elements of whimsical 3-D tech inspired fashion. The idea of bringing creations from the virtual world to life seemed to be a common theme and this was one of my favorite representations. The collection also spoke to the sentiment of recovering from the pandemic and keeping the fun energy going even in the colder months. Another one of my favorite pieces was the puffer that featured fun vibrant prints and from afar looked like a typical streetwear piece but up close had a delicately bejeweled drawstring.
Little elegant details like that were everywhere in this collection giving the clothes a very Hollywood effortless cool touch. No doubt inspired by his work with celebrities a Colin Locascio piece will make any wearer feel like an A-lister. I can't wait to see what's next for this exciting brand!
The end of summer might be coming but here in LA we're still soaking up these long summer days. Last night KAOHS swimwear a trendy bikini line that's popular among celebs and models showcased their new line at an amazing fashion show held at The Casita in Hollywood.
The event was filled with fun photo ops and delicious appetizers that guests enjoyed while relaxing in the tropical paradise at the Casita.
The fashion show kicked off at 7 and KAOHS debuted their latest collection featuring leopard print designs and bright neons as well as some fun 80s inspired prints. There was a bikini for almost anyone on the runway as well as several adorable beach cover ups. Check out some of my favorite looks from the retro inspired collection on my Instagram!
The party continued after the fashion show with a celebratory after party at the exclusive 1oak club in West Hollywood. The club is a favorite among celebs like Selena Gomez, Leonardo DiCaprio, Sophia Richie and many others! The fashion forward crowd filled the club and everyone celebrated with music by DJ Jack Henry.
Speechless dresses is making a comeback this summer and they have so many cute options that celebs are loving. Check out my article on why this brand is trending in Hollywood Glam Magazine below!
