Spanish Style in Valencia: Romeo and Juliet Couture Presents a Special Summer Runway Show

If you are looking for some international summer style inspo check out these runway pics! On July 22, NYC based fashion brand Romeo and Juliet Couture presented a summer fashion show in Valencia Spain on board a riverboat crusie ship. The show features several up and coming models and of course some amazing designs from RJC. Guests enjoyed a night on the water while getting to see the latest styles from New York. The collection featured both evening wear and causal summer looks in bright colors such as turquoise and fun floral patterns. The clothes included girl details such as ruffles and lace as well. The whole night definitely makes me want to take a trip to Spain this summer how about you?

LAFW Announces Fall 2018 Venue

LAFW is one of LA’s most recognized fashion event brands and they are known for putting on some great shows. Each year the group changes it up and always has a new and interesting theme that keeps guests coming back. The show has taken place at some of LA’s most exclusive venues including, the rooftop lounge at the W Hollywood Hotel, Union Station, and many more. This year LAFW is going all out and has announced the Petersen Automotive museum as their fall 2018 venue. The LA museum is a popular attraction for automotive enthusiasts since it houses some of the world’s most elite cars from brands like Ferrari, BMW and more. It also has several classic models for those who love retro styles. With its unique architecture and backdrop of rare vehicles this venue is the perfect place to host a fashion show. Is this a hint at the lineup for this Fall’s designers? Perhaps we’ll be seeing some mechanical influences on the fashions coming down the runway this year. Either way it will no doubt be a success for the LAFW brand.

I love following Julia's beautiful blogger adventures on Instagram so when I got the chance to visit Charleston South Carolina this summer I decided to see if I could recreate her 48 hour guide to the charming southern city. Julia is a fashion and travel blogger who I’ve followed for awhile. Her feed is so inspiring because she has turned her blog into a business and even has her own line of dresses now. I love her picturesque photos and girly style so I couldn’t wait to do a little of my own exploring in her home city of Charleston.

I arrived in Charleston late on Wednesday night and headed straight to my hotel. The next day I woke up and checked Julia’s itinerary for day 1. Since I didn’t arrive until late at night in Charleston the first day I decided to skip straight to her Saturday morning post and come back to the previous afternoon recommendations. I followed her advice to start off my day with some coffee and a stroll through the South of Broad neighborhood. I loved seeing all the beautiful old houses and finally ended my walk with a mini photo-shoot in White Point gardens as Julia recommended. The gardens were beautiful, and I loved wandering around underneath the giant oak trees. They even had a beautiful white gazebo in the middle which completed the quintessential southern vibe. Afterwards Julia recommends taking a historical home tour at Aiken House, but I decided to check out the Calhoun Mansion instead since it was a little closer to the gardens and I was on foot. This home tour was so interesting because the home had been owned by so many prominent Charleston residents over the years. It was owned by a prominent family during the civil war and then passed on to several other rich owners through the years until finally ending up in the hands of a collector. He now fills the house with antiques and art pieces from around the world. It is amazing to walk through the house and see every room filled with priceless collectibles!

Next I followed her tip to take Rainbow Row back into town and check out the shopping and cute boutiques on King Street. I headed over to Lily, the French inspired boutique she recommends and loved seeing all their fun and sparkly baubles. It was definitely one of my favorite shops in the city. Since I already had plans with a friend for dinner that night, I decided to try her restaurant recommendation for lunch instead. I headed over to Queen street to look at Husk, the restaurant Julia mentions in her blog. However, the popular spot was already all booked up for lunch. However, I found a place of my own right next door that was just as good. I ate lunch at this beautiful little restaurant called 82Queen and it turned out to be one of my favorites because of the hidden back patio and traditional southern food. When I asked if they had sweet tea my waiter just laughed and asked me if I was from out of town. It was a true southern experience and I even tried BBQ shrimp and cheese grits! Paired with some authentic sweet tea to cool off from the heat of the day it was the perfect way to enjoy the afternoon. While it may not look like much from the outside this place is really nice once you get in and walking back to the patio almost makes you feel like you’re entering a speakeasy!

After lunch I ended up walking back up King Street to see more of the shops. I also met my friends for pre-dinner drinks at a rooftop bar right off King street called The Watch. The trendy place has great views of the city and a fun atmosphere. Julia recommends several seafood/oyster bars in Charleston so for dinner we headed over to a seafood restaurant on the water called Fleet’s landing. The food was delicious, and the views were even better. I loved the nostalgic theme of the restaurant and enjoyed feeling the ocean breeze as we ate on the patio and looked out over the water.

The next day I followed Julia’s advice and got a delicious southern breakfast at the Hominy grill. After a leisurely morning I followed Julia’s arrival day advice and headed over to the Cannonbury/Elliotborough neighborhoods. I didn’t end up staying at the Inn Julia recommended so I had to ask some locals directions to the area and everyone knew what I was talking about when I mentioned Julia of Gal Meets Glam. I stopped by the Inn to check it out and it is definitely a cute little place to stay although this neighborhood was a bit far out of town from the main tourist areas in Charleston.

Megan Trainor gives career advice and spills about her success in Hollywood at the ASCAP Music Expo

I got to see Megan Trainor speak at the ASCAP music expo on Friday and she dropped some serious knowledge on the crowd of music industry hopefuls plus talked about her inspiration for her latest single!

She talked about her first hit song "All about that Bass" citing it as the song that changed her life and brought her from a writer behind the scenes to an artist front and center.

She said, "I had the song, you might have yours your number one smash right now in your pocket and you have no idea. That's the scariest part about this job. But also the most rewarding...I remember bass I wrote that being like, no one is ever going to sing this but, screw it let;'s write it anyways...I remember thinking I didn't look the part you know I would never be a Rihanna or a Britney Spears or whatever. So I said I'm gonna just be the cool songwriter the superhero of the world lay low for a minute and then I'll be a star later. But the song will take you, if you have the song it will take you to all your dreams."
She told the audience, "If you're a songwriter and your song takes off my best advice is to just follow it."

BTS at Stagecoach 2018: Watch My Interview with Rising Country Music Band Temecula Road

I have been catching up with all the hottest up and coming bands at Stagecoach this year to bring you the inside scoop on country music's rising stars. Check out my exclusive coverage with the Temecula Road band this weekend. They were named Disney's NextBigThing in 2016 and have been growing in popularity ever since. I got an inside look at their Stagecoach experience with a BTS interview in their trailer after they gave a preview performance at the H2O beauty pre-party at the Zenyara estate. My Stagecoach Look Day3

I cant beleive it is already Day 3 you guys! The festival has been amazing so far and tonight's lineup is definitely going to be a showstopper! We get to see Garth Brooks AND Trisha Yearwood close out the festival. Don't forget to check out my interviews and backstage coverage from Day 1 and 2. I've gotten to talk to some amazing bands and artists like Walker Hayes and DJ Bad Ash! You can find more of my interviews here. For Day 3 I am going for a rock inspired look with some country style accents. I am loving this shirt by Sugar tees because it says Indio which is perfect since that's where I'm staying! It is also a muscle shirt which I love because it keeps me cool and gives off an edgy vibe. I paired it with high waisted jean shorts and this arrow jewelry from Kollectin! The shirt even has these berry accents which match my sunglasses. Rock on!

Today was another crazy day at the festival with some of my favorite performers like,... and ... taking the stage! I also got the chance to do more interviews with some awesome newcomers like Auburn Road. This band of young talented girls is going places in style. Watch my interview with them below and keep reading for more behind the scenes info on their latest album!

The band is releasing a new album coming out in just a few months and told me all about their process. According to the band its going to be "a lot more dusty and authentic to country music" They talked about their favorite country artists of the moment listing Marren Morris, the Dixie Chicks, and Rascal Flatts as inspiration. According to the they listen to a wide range of artists and music genres to find their ideas. The message on their new album is a continuation from one of their previous songs and is about the same girl who has now grown up is onto her next chapter in life. They told me that since they'd had so many new life experiences since the first they really wanted to put them into this next album saying, "there's a story out there for really any emotion yo're going through." They also talked about their upcoming gigs after stagecoach sounding super excited to be opening up for Toby Keith on June 16, at the Iron Stone amphitheater in Murphy's California. Girls Brunch in Palm Springs at the Brand New AC3 Restaurant in Hotel Paseo

On the final day of Stagecoach I started off the morning with a nutritious and tasty brunch at the AC3 restaurant at the Hotel Paseo in Palm Springs. This chic modern spot has a great menu full of delicious options and luckily I got to try a ton of them because I got invited to a girls media brunch where I had a great time meeting so many successful women in the media industry. Many of them were also covering Stagecoach and some were just food and lifestyle writers who were covering the opening of the restaurant. I got some great tips from the photographer sitting next to me so I was able to capture these gorgeous photos of the brunch for you guys!


I decided to order a shrimp salad and yogurt parfait because they both sounded super healthy and I wanted something sweet to top off my meal. The shrimp salad was amazing and definitely something I'd recommend. It was so filling too! I loved the seasoning they used and the little pieces of grapefruit in the salad that added a tropical twist to the dish. The yogurt parfait was perfect for dessert and was filled with fresh fruit and granola. It also could've been a meal on its own really. I loved hanging out with the other bloggers and reporters in this restaurant. We had a great table with a view of the popular Palm Springs shopping street El Paseo. The decorations in the restaurant were minimalist but colorful with some desert vibes. Afterwards I had a great time exploring more of the hotel Paseo as well. This boutique hotel had so many cute decorations including retro pictures of celebs who loved vacationing in Palm Springs as well as a fun outdoor back patio. I love this cool Cali sign! Pretty soon it was time to rush off to the festival but I would definitely reccomend this restaurant for anyone looking for great service and high quality flavor! Boots On Stage x Chevy Stagecoach Pre-Party in the Desert

Today I headed over to the Chevy x Boots On Stage Pre-Party at an awesome estate in the desert. Before heading over to the second day of the festival I started off my day with a fun lakeside get together hosted by Chevy Trucks and Boots on Stage. The party was full of fun games and snacks as well as some great music on the stage getting everyone in a festival mood.


For truck fans there was the ultimate Chevy truck experience where guests could ride in their brand new 2018 Silverado and test out all the offroading features! A driver took guests on a daredevil ride across the desert that ended with a giant ramp the truck drove over. The whole experience looked like something out of a theme park! I enjoyed a lemonade under the cabanas they had set up while listening to the band and relaxing in the shade. Then I headed over to the lawn for games including a giant bowling set and cornhole beanbag toss.


There was also a special Levi's denim truck giving out custom Levi's Jean Vests that guests could have embroidered with their name or initials. I got mine with my signature SC initials and am so excited for my new statement piece! Throughout the afternoon several more celebrity guests continued to show up including Olivia Culpo and ... The party really got everyone in the Stagecoach mood with all their country themed activities down to even the smallest detail like these cute boot shaped drink cups!

I loved sitting by the scenic lake at this desert escape listening to the country classic by the Zach Brown Band "Toes in the Water Toes in the Sand"

I had so much fun at the festival today. There was so much to take in and it's only the first day! I loved seeing all the cute clothes and country accessories over at Nikki Lane's Bazaar and had a blast trying out my line dancing skills in the dance hall.
