FWLA at Union Station in Downtown LA

FWLA kicked off on Sunday March 13 in Union Stationn in downtown LA. Fashion Week LA is one of the many fashion week events being held throughout the city this week. This show is fairly new and has been held at Union Station for a few years now. The show's main focus is to bring together fashion industry professionals and showcase Los Angeles designers. The show has registration available for buyers, media, and general admission. This year the the show attracted a large audience with their headlining designer Cynthia Rowley. You can read more about my interview with the womenswear designer Jessica here. This was my first time attending the event and I had a great time. I always enjoy Union Station because it is such a beautiful venue. Everyone at the event was very friendly and open to networking creating a fun atmosphere. The show also included two panels on buying and the beauty industry. FWLA definitely lived up to it's reputation as more than just a fashion show with informative panelists and opportunities to interview designers. I would recommend this event for anyone looking to get involved in the LA fashion scene and find amazing talent on the runway. You can read about each one of the shows and my interviews with designers here.
